Associate - Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
Award winning boutique IP law firm is seeking an Associate attorney.
This is a hybrid role.
Your duties will be to consult with clients to ascertain technical details about inventions; review patent applications and complex terminology; analyze data to advise or recommend solutions; interview clients to ascertain technical details of the invention to be patented; analyze information on patent applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office; analyze claim rejections; recommend specific solutions for the preparation of the claim amendments; provide legal opinions regarding infringement and validity of patents.
Requirements are: Bachelor or Masters degree in chemistry or chemical engineering. Law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admission to at least one State bar. Strong academic credentials. Registered to practice before the USPTO. One or more years of experience in prosecuting patent applications. Industrial experience is a plus.
Salary : $175,000 - $180,000
