This year, we have acquired multiple businesses and have many targets in the pipeline as we grow through acquisition. Our first acquisition, Bontrager Pools is a leading full-service pool company specializing in new construction, service and retail. We have over 40 years of servicing NW Indiana and SW Michigan.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Manager to join our team and lead our service and maintenance team to new heights. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of the pool industry, the ability to manage a diverse team, and multiple functions simultaneously. The Field Service Manager will oversee a team of service and maintenance technicians, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. This role involves managing service and maintenance technicians, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
You Will Be Responsible for…
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and coach a team of Service Technicians and Maintenance Technicians
- Riding along with techs in the field to train and ensure consistent service metrics are set
- Ensure all service work is performed in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Hiring new techs, both full time and seasonal
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of pool systems, including filter pumps, heaters, and related equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to service and maintenance technicians, assisting with complex issues and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and development opportunities for service and maintenance technicians and related direct reports
- Ensure jobs are completed in a timely, and professional manner
- manage field service software and ensure compliance and usage
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.

What You Have
- High School Diploma/GED, Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the pool industry, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of pool systems, including filter pumps, heaters, and related equipment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using service management software and other relevant tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
