Preschool Teacher’s Aide
Bookcliff is hiring a Preschool Teacher’s Aide to begin in August. Do you love young children and have a passion to see them grow spiritually, personally, academically, and socially? Teacher Aides are responsible for assisting Lead Teachers in the day-to-day operations of a classroom, helping to provide a safe, loving, developmentally appropriate Christian learning environment for all students.
Qualifications:
· Must love children.
· Prior experience working with children is preferred.
· Have a passion for Jesus and loving and teaching His children.
· Be a team player, be flexible and able to work well in a dynamic environment.
· Must acquire 15 hours of professional development yearly, along with any other required courses/trainings made by the State Licensing, such a First Aide/CPR, Standard Precautions, FEMA, and more.
Responsibilities:
· Assist and support the lead teacher in the care and education of an assigned group of children.
· Cultivate positive, loving relationships with children, families, teachers and school staff.
· Communicate clearly with children, staff and parents; maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
· Contribute actively to the goals and success of the school and all team members through
collaboration, cooperation, and flexibility.
· Participate in staff meetings, teacher work days and school activities.
. Work professionally; staying organized, prepared, and punctual; following through on commitments.
· Assist in implementing curriculum and activities to teach developmentally lessons which foster exploration, independence, and understanding.
· Help establish a safe, healthy, loving and enjoyable learning environment.
· Able to teach and integrate Bible stories and principles comfortably and with creativity.
· Assist the lead teacher in accessing and recording student needs and progression of learning and development on an ongoing basis.
· Act consistently in ways that directly support the missions, educational objectives, and codes of ethical conduct at Bookcliff.
· Operate in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
