Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dock Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dock area, cutting and baling cardboard for recycling, and sorting incoming product returns. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut and bale cardboard using designated equipment for proper recycling or disposal.
  • Sort, inspect, and process incoming returned merchandise according to company policies.
  • Ensure the dock area remains clean, clear, and safe for operations at all times.
  • Assist with the unloading of incoming shipments and proper staging of products.
  • Identify and report damaged goods or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate dock equipment safely, including pallet jacks, balers, and hand tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior warehouse or dock experience is a plus.
  • Able and comfortable working in hot environment (we do have water and fans located in the warehouse but this is Florida so it does get very hot.)
  • Ability to lift and move up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs] regularly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Basic understanding of safety practices and equipment handling.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
