Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The AEMT will provide critical care to patients in emergency situations, ensuring their safety and well-being while transporting them to medical facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of emergency medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Duties

• Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' conditions in emergency situations.
• Provide patient care by administering first aid, CPR, and other necessary medical interventions.
• Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately.
• Perform venipuncture as needed for blood draws or IV access.
• Assist with triage in urgent care settings to prioritize patient treatment based on the severity of conditions.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and other emergency responders to ensure seamless patient care during transport.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are ready for use at all times.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required when moving patients or equipment.

Experience

• Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for effective patient assessment and care.
• Familiarity with urgent care protocols and triage processes is a plus.
• Ability to perform under stressful conditions while maintaining a calm demeanor is crucial for success in this role.
