The Phlebotomist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical laboratory. This position involves collecting and processing blood samples from patients for testing and diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect routine, timed, and STAT specimens from patients
- Properly identify patients prior to specimen collection
- Transport specimens to the laboratory in accordance with infection control policies
- Perform other related duties as required to ensure effective patient care
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You should also have basic computer skills and be able to learn new software quickly. Certification in phlebotomy or medical assisting is preferred, but not required.
