About the Role:
Account Managers collaborate with Brokers and support staff in the service of employee benefits business. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a proactive service plan for clients, providing excellent customer service, ensuring departmental and client needs are met. Must handle complex client issues and make recommendations by utilizing client service, administration expertise and carrier resources. Supports the Broker on activities required for a smooth transition and/or implementation of new business while simultaneously ensuring the retention of current clients. Possesses an advanced understanding of Employee Benefits insurance coverages, carrier guidelines, and legislative changes applicable to client accounts, and holds a solid understanding of insurance agency functions, competitive environment, underwriting processes, and methodologies.

- Ability to assist with new business and manage renewals of current business.
- Manage internal and external relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization.

- Takes a tactical role in managing the annual renewal processes for assigned clients. Supports Consultant with annual strategic planning process.
- Manages the delivery of services and the day-to-day client needs to retain accounts, to establish strong client relationships and achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
- Liaison with internal staff and operations. Documents and communicates program information to various departments and understands departmental differences.
- Prepare, assist, and attend internal and external client meetings.
- Performs detailed review of all client contracts, summary plan descriptions, insurance certificates, employee communications, and SBCs.
- Address client needs; research, review and troubleshoot claim, potential risk, and billing issues to resolve issues.
Requirements:
- Experience with a PC, proficient in MS Office
- Experienced understanding of the Employee Benefits insurance brokerage industry including products, rating, underwriting, coverages, industry operations, and legislative environment.
- Life and Insurance License
- Communicate effectively, strategic thinker, expert at project planning, working under time constraints and organization skills capable of meeting deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
