About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Product Manager to drive forward Grata's data initiatives, from expanding the scope of private companies in our system to introducing new datasets to our customer base to upholding our high data quality standards.
In this role, you will strategize, implement, and optimize data accuracy, availability, and freshness to enhance customer workflows and expand our product's capabilities.
You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand customer needs, prioritize impactful features, and work closely with engineering and data scientists to deliver high-quality datasets.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring Grata's data adheres to Grata's data quality standards, maintain reliability, and scale effectively with the evolving needs of our growing business.
Your Responsibilities
- Build a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and behaviors by partnering with commercial teams and conducting user research and data analysis.
- Develop strategic roadmaps with clear milestones and measurable metrics to achieve ambitious goals and track progress effectively.
- Work across machine learning, data scientists, design, engineering, QA, and product marketing to define and ship the roadmap.
- Prioritize initiatives ruthlessly using a data-driven approach to maximize impact and deliver customer value.
- Craft detailed requirements informed by customer conversations, usage data analysis, and iterative feedback from design and engineering teams.
- Establish yourself as the go-to expert and trusted leader for the product area, building credibility through ownership and results.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders, distilling complex ideas into clear insights that drive alignment across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of product management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience developing a strategic vision and product roadmap for data initiatives
- Can partner and influence effectively across all levels of an organization, and regularly use these skills to improve the work going on around you
- Experience in a prior startup or high-ambiguity environment; a track record of managing ambiguity and complexity affecting many stakeholders in an organized and structured way
- Experience with data modeling languages such as Python, SQL, and R
- Strong expertise in data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with modern data stack technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Apache Spark, Airflow, DBT, Kafka).
- Deep understanding of data modeling, domain-driven design, and building scalable, resilient data platforms.
- Interested in an office-centric culture with a flexible work environment
