Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is primarily responsible for achieving monthly revenue growth through proactive outbound calls. The role focuses on generating new sales opportunities, both with existing customer accounts and new prospects. Key duties include building strong customer relationships, identifying business needs, securing referrals, and promoting the company’s equipment and service offerings.
Success in this role requires excellent phone sales and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on meeting or exceeding sales targets, activity objectives, and productivity metrics through consistent sales efforts and ongoing skill development.
Primary Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities listed below are for the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) to complete during their predetermined daily schedule dedicated to inside sales:
- The (ISR) will be a key contributor in assisting Boothwyn Pharmacy to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual and sales revenue budgets from customer accounts.
- New revenue opportunities will include but are not limited to Down, Lost, and Up accounts, Strategic, Key, Discount Accounts, New Markets, marketing leads, referrals, cold calling, quote follow-up, and other potential sources
- Effective inbound and outbound qualification of prospects and account research
- Make a minimum of 30-40 outbound sales calls a day to existing and potential customers
- Develop and manage a pipeline of monthly and quarterly revenue growth opportunities in both the Sales and Quote Pipelines
- Communicate at a minimum weekly with the sales Manager to promote training opportunities and face-to-face meetings.
- Document and investigate any customer complaints and escalate all issues to the Boothwyn Manager, Sales Manager in a timely manner
- Daily data entry into Conduit for all information on each inquiry from customers/prospects in their designated offices
- Open communication with all Boothwyn’s and vendors
- Promotion of a Health and Safety-First attitude
- Attend ongoing Trade Shows
- Attend ongoing sales training
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Core Competencies
- Prior outbound telephone sales experience is preferred
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills- Written, Verbal, Interpersonal, and Phone
- Self-starter who takes initiative and has good time management skills
- Ability to think analytically with focus on problem solving
- A flexible and strong team player who can work in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Education/Experience
- Associate degree in related field; bachelor’s degree a plus
