Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and innovative Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing designs. This role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to develop designs that meet client specifications while adhering to industry standards and codes. The Designer will utilize various design software tools to create detailed models and drawings that facilitate the manufacturing process.
Duties
- Develop and design mechanical components and systems using CAD software, including Inventor, Creo, and Revit.
- Create detailed drawings and specifications that comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback throughout the design process.
- Conduct design reviews and make necessary adjustments based on stakeholder input.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including design reports and presentations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance design processes.
Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Inventor, Creo, or Revit is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical design preferred.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for collaboration and document management is a plus.
- Understanding of codes standards relevant to mechanical design is required.
- Experience with GD&T principles is highly desirable.
- Ability to build prototypes or models as needed for testing concepts is beneficial.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial experience in the industry.
- An understanding of automobile designs and engineering, as well as the ability to create full-scale models
