PAINTER APPRENTICE POSITION SUMMARY :
Bootz & Duke Sign Co. is a premier full-service sign company that has been serving Arizona and National Accounts for over 54 years. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Painter Apprentice / Painter Helper. We are looking for a long-term, full-time, dependable, quality-minded, team-player with previous paint preparation experience. Experience and familiarity working with tools, sanding, masking, and prepping is required. Please include your resume when applying for faster consideration!
PAINTER APPRENTICE COMPENSATION :
- This is a full-time, hourly position.
- Hours are Monday – Friday from 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm.
- Pay range is $20.00 - $25.00 DOE.
- Some OT may be available but is not guaranteed.
- Primary duties include sanding, masking, and prepping the signs for painting.
- Previous painter experience is a plus.
- Experience with Matthews Paint system and Montex preferred.
- Prior experience and success working in a fast-paced metal fabrication shop environment preferred.
- Dependability and consistently showing up for all scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work full time hours, Monday to Friday.
- Ability to commute and work on site at our company in west Phoenix.
- Extensive and prolonged periods of standing; gross and fine manipulation of one’s hands and fingers; ability to reach and extend arms above and below the shoulder; near and far visual acuity; ability to tolerate loud sounds; ability to hear and speak (up to 8 hours); ability to.
- Additional physical demands include the ability to tolerate temperature shifts and extremes, including exposure to the heat and cold (up to 8 hours).
- Position also requires the ability to bend, squat, kneel, stoop, lift, push, pull, reach overhead, and use ladders to complete work.
- Ability to use a respirator (up to 8 hours) and medically clear OSHA requirements for respirator fit tests as a condition of this position.
