The Opportunity:

Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to the Department of Defense. In all of this “cyber noise,” how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you—a lead information security risk specialist who can break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) on our team, you’ll consult for the Department of Defense, leading the discovery of their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. You’ll oversee the analysis of technical, environmental, and personnel details from subject matter experts as your team reviews the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

Your client will rely on you to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission IT enterprise. You Have:

• Experience in DoD information technology

• Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework

• Secret clearance

• HS diploma or GED

• DoD 8570 IAM Level II Certification such as CISSP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
