Key Role:
Provide consultation and strategic guidance to federal agency chief enterprise architects, CIOs, and other senior IT staff to help shape IT strategy and direction for large and complex agency IT ecosystems. Work as part of an enterprise services (ES) program team and lead efforts to analyze, rationalize, and modernize the technology portfolio, including technical standards, infrastructure, products, and versions. Collect information and demonstrate knowledge of the current technology portfolio. Model and analyze technology risks, determine technological dependencies through analysis, and provide strategies for optimizing the portfolio based on predetermined criteria. Process and evaluate requests for changes in the technology environment and help ES leadership determine their suitability. Model and analyze enterprise business, applications, and technology environments, including business process models, conceptual and logical infrastructure views, data concepts, and logical views. Recommend and provide strategies for adopting current architectural and technology paradigms based on knowledge of industry best practices and the client environment, including service oriented architecture (SOA), event driven architecture (EDA), big data analytics, virtualization, cloud computing, and managed services.
Basic Qualifications:
7 years of experience in developing and maintaining the enterprise architecture vision and enterprise-level IT architecture, systems, and application designs
7 years of experience in analysis and design of complex IT solutions involving integration or interfacing between multiple software applications, processing platforms, and software products
7 years of experience with the collection, analysis, and visualization of large and complex sets of information
Knowledge of EA methodologies and frameworks, including TOGAF
Knowledge of current architecture and technology paradigms and concepts, including object-oriented paradigm, service oriented architecture (SOA), event driven architecture (EDA), big data analytics, virtualization, cloud computing, and managed services
Knowledge of system analysis techniques for gathering and translating business requirement
IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI)
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with legacy systems and phased application migration to the new platform
Experience with pega and containerization platforms
Experience in business processes, strategic planning, and technology governance
Experience with EA modeling and visualization tools, including visio, tableau, and IBM systems architect
Experience with delivering solutions using agile safe framework
Knowledge of technical modeling approaches and effective documentation
Knowledge of issues related to system availability, redundancy, and security
Knowledge of various programming languages and software development methodologies
System architect or higher-level certification, such as Pega, Appian, or Salesforce
Vetting:
Applicants selected must possess an active IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI) and meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client of an IRS MBI; IRS MBI is required

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
