Job Summary
BorderLight Theatre Festival seeks a highly organized and motivated theatre professional to join the team as Associate Producer . This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless production of the BorderLight Fringe Festival. The Associate Producer acts as the primary liaison for Fringe artists and oversees logistics from pre-planning to the festival's conclusion. The workload varies by season , with fewer hours during planning months and increasing significantly closer to the festival. The position requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting emerging artists and fostering a diverse, inclusive festival environment.

BorderLight Theatre Festival is an annual arts festival based in downtown Cleveland, showcasing performing artists from around the globe. Since its 2019 debut, BorderLight has celebrated theatre that inspires, builds cross-cultural understanding, and highlights the diversity of the human experience. Key Responsibilities by Month
January
- Build relationships with Fringe networks and community partners.
- Respond to artist inquiries and distribute the Fringe Call for Artists.
- Organize venue tours and define the scope of the Fringe Festival based on available venues and performance slots.
- Begin scoring artist applications and tracking partnerships.
February – March

August - September (Post-Festival)

What We Offer
Hours / Salary
Start Date : January 2025.
Workload : The role averages approximately 100 hours per month , with seasonal variations
August – September : 5–10 hours / week.
October – November : 20–25 hours / week.
January – April : 20–30 hours / week.
May – July : 35–40 hours / week, including extended days during the festival week.
Flexibility : This position requires flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the festival.
Compensation : $23,000 annually.
