Public Works Field Technician(s)

*Job Summary*

We are seeking a Field Technician to join our team for day-to-day coordination of streets, drainage, grounds.

The ideal candidate will live in town or would have a 15-minute commute to the Borough. They will be expected to have a sense of urgency and focus on meeting the expectations of the Borough. Duties could include the operation and maintenance of vehicles and/or machines, as needed in the Department of Public Works. The qualified candidate will be expected to perform routine work pertaining to the light construction, maintenance, repair and cleaning of streets, parks and playgrounds, public facilities, snow removal, leaf, brush, leaf/brush collection, and any other duties assigned.

Heavy manual labor in adverse weather conditions will be required. Knowledge with the experience and varieties of types of tools used in maintenance equipment preferred.

CDL License is preferred.

Further Responsibilities may include:

- Install, maintain, and repair equipment and systems in the field

- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions

- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a field technician or in a related role preferred
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction tools / equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills to interact with residents and team members
- Valid driver's license / PLUS CDL
