Visual Merchandiser - Full Time Omaha, NE

Borsheims is looking for a full-time Visual Merchandiser to join our team. At Borsheims, we take pride in providing our Signature Service to every customer, and you will play a vital role in helping us do that.

Our Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating visual presentations on the sales floor, entrances, and in customer facing support areas to maximize sales potential. The Visual Merchandiser will ensure visual merchandising represents the company’s brand, strategy, and goals and that displays are consistent with the marketing message throughout the store. If you have prior retail merchandising experience and enjoy creating visually appealing displays, you might be the gem we’ve been searching for!

The Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Minimum 1 year retail merchandising experience
• 2 years of education in fashion merchandising or interior design preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of trends and style that is reflective of the Borsheims brand
  
  

You Are

• Creative. Leads the execution of creating beautiful visual displays for the store, while being aware of the merchandise budget. Coordinates and rotates displays and décor for vendor events, promotions, seasonal displays, featured items, etc. Places and maintains signage and communicates changes to team members.
• Collaborative. Works with the buyers to execute the merchandising plan for marketing campaigns, ensuring displays are visually appealing and consistent with the overall marketing message.
• Detail-Oriented. Works to ensure that new and current merchandise is displayed. Reviews stock to ensure all inventory is represented on the sales floor. Helps to coordinate inventory markdowns, employee sales, or vendor returns.
• Helpful. Assists the buyers by pulling and preparing merchandise for various print and e-commerce promotions and initiatives. Performs the duties of a Gift Sales Associate during the holiday season, Berkshire, and/or special in-store events.
• Effective Communicator. Communicate with the maintenance department on basic store maintenance needs and necessary repairs as it pertains to the visual appearance of the store (displays needing to be fixed, light bulbs, glass, etc.).
• Eager to Learn. Attends product knowledge seminars in and out of the store. Meets with vendors to discuss opportunities and learn new applications.
