SERVICE TECHNICIAN
Reports to Service Manager
The Service Technician’s role consists of 3 main functions: Enhancing Our Team, Serving Our Customer and Achieving Financial Goals. Each of these functions require different skills and time spent in each area but are equally important parts of being on the Bortnick Team.
Enhancing Our Team
- Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
- Works efficiently and effectively by asking for assignment if the current job is temporarily unable to be completed or has been completed.
- Assembles new equipment for display, delivery to the customer and completes a PDI on new units using the PDI checklist.
- Perpetuates their education and training on the product lines as changes occur.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Serving Our Customers
- Performs repair and maintenance work on equipment in accordance with time schedules as assigned by the Service Manager.
- Maintains cleanliness of the customer’s equipment with a goal of exceeding customer expectations.
- Recommends to the Service Manager any additional repair or maintenance work when needed.
- Notifies the Service Manager if delays are expected, additional work is required or parts are needed.
Achieving Financial Goals
- Accounts for all time and material used.
- Meets performance goals set by the Service Manager.
