Senior Estimator (MEP & Data Center Experience)

A leading international contractor is seeking a highly skilled Estimator with strong MEP knowledge and experience in Data Center projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on precision, collaboration, and delivering competitive, data-driven cost estimates.
Position Summary:
The Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects, with a focus on MEP systems and mission-critical Data Center infrastructure. This role involves evaluating drawings, specifications, labor, materials, and scheduling requirements to ensure all proposals are both competitive and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and production estimates, including detailed MEP and Data Center systems
- Interpret and analyze complex construction drawings and specifications
- Develop and manage comprehensive construction budgets and cost databases
- Assess financial impacts of scope changes, additions, and specific site conditions
- Obtain and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors
- Collaborate with Project Management on proposals and Construction Management on schedules, production rates, and sequencing
- Generate detailed cost reports and summaries to support data-driven decision-making
- Apply expertise in Data Center infrastructure to ensure estimates meet performance, security, and redundancy requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant estimating experience (8 years preferred)
- Proven background in MEP systems and Data Center projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and documentation skills
- Experience with vendor and subcontractor coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe
- Familiarity with construction scheduling and industry best practices
