The Trust Application Specialist is a key staff member for the support and training on fundraising and productivity applications, ensuring Trust staff utilizes these systems improve efficiency and fundraising results. The role interacts frequently with staff across the Trust, answering questions and resolving system related issues pertaining to hardware, software and conferencing equipment. Creates training documentation and curriculum. Performs trainings, provides application documentation, extracts data, formats and runs reports, and performs specific functions using application tools.
This Application Specialist will:
- Utilize standardized department tools/software systems to plan task/projects and monitor progress toward milestones and deadlines, reassigning resources when necessary to meet organizational objectives.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and guidance on proper utilization of productivity and fundraising applications.
- Monitor trends in fundraising and business software, providing guidance to leadership on the identification, vetting, and adoption of new potential applications and third party software.
- Respond to system related service requests, taking responsibility of cases thoroughly until cessation.
- Assist with system and application configuration for events and other requests as assigned.
- Update and enhance application documentation and knowledge base articles as required. Perform periodic examination and evaluation of applications to improve effectiveness.
- Provide end user training on application best practices. Improve and document the technical processes around application support.
- Provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.
- Develop and maintains a thorough working knowledge of applications, modules and devices.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of user guides and operating procedures for workforce optimization systems given emerging trends in customer support inquiries.
- Conduct new hire and ongoing training on applications usage, options and features.
To qualify, you must have:
- BA degree and minimum of one year experience in computer science or closely related field
- Experience in Fundraising, Graphic Design, Application Development or in a Nonprofit environment is preferred, Healthcare experience a plus.
- Knowledge of computing and application principles such as security, licensing, data privacy.
- Proficiency with advanced features of common office and productivity applications.
- Ability to provide independent analysis of potential applications for senior decision makers.
- Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
- Effective time management, ability to multi-task.
- Ability to deliver clear training and technical assistance to staff via written and verbal communication.
- Able to work professionally and collaboratively in a team-based healthcare setting and as an individual.
