Boston Globe Opinion is looking for a temporary full-time writer to fill in on our team through the end of the year. The position would start after March 17 2025 and last until Dec. 31, 2025.
Responsibilities :
The job would entail writing weekly editorials, contributing to one or more of our weekly newsletters, and producing occasional reported essays for our op-ed and Sunday Ideas sections. This person could also commission and edit op-eds by outside writers.
This position requires at least three days a week in our Boston office. The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area.
This position is a union position covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the Boston Newspaper Guild.
