Overview

Boston Impact Initiative (BII) is a nonprofit impact investment fund founded in 2013 that invests integrated capital—equity, debt and grant capital—in social enterprises and community-owned and controlled real estate to build wealth and asset-building opportunities for communities of color. Through our field-building and education programs, we're transforming the impact investing field to make economic and racial justice integral to place-based investment strategies.

BII offers impact investing education and training. Through our Emerging Fund Manager fund manager cohort program, we have trained 69 fund managers from 30 organizations, resulting in 18 launched funds deploying over $9M to diverse small businesses.
