We are currently seeking a Lead Shop Associate to work in our Dallas, TX Service Center.
Objective:
The Lead Shop Associate collaborates with the internal team and sub contractors to ensure coordination of daily warehouse operations and fulfillment. The Lead Shop Associate will be responsible for shop safety, inventory control, and collaborate on fleet management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working autonomously, but as well as be able to demonstrate leadership and strong team communications skills. Familiarity with construction and retail environments is a plus.
Description:
The Lead Shop Associate is responsible for a range of duties related to the coordination of the shop activities. The Lead Shop Associate will utilize company best practices and industry best practices. The Lead Shop Associate will successfully complete required daily processes. As a Boston Retail Solutions Lead Shop Associate you will express accountability through:
- Successful execution of Inventory Control of hard assets
- Safely executing Materials Handling, Shipping and Receiving protocols
- Successful documentation of daily inventory and materials movements
- Effective communications with teammates
- Adherence and compliance to required documentation
- Ability to expeditiously complete and close out project lifecycle
- Continued development of personal business attributes and industry best practices
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Shop foreman will be accountable for safe and organized operation of maintaining the warehouse, its assets and supporting the General Manager in all day to day duties. They are support to ensure all project timelines are met and customer expectations are exceeded. The Shop Foreman position is accountable for, but no limited to the following aspects
- The Lead Shop Associate will be responsible for oversight and maintaining a clean and well organized shop.
- They will support the GM in day to day duties such as, but not limited to loading and unloading barricade materials, performing inventory cycle counts, local survey needs at customer site
- Inspections, upkeep and communicates any issues with use of power tools, hand tools, ladders, etc.
- Works with GM to ensure all consumables for shop and infield installation are available with ample stock
- Can be available for night work as needed to support the business needs
- Will meet with local subcontractors to provide material and field support as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and preventive maintenance schedule for BRS fleet at that location

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the tools and equipment commonly associated with the construction trades
- Ability to read construction documents and drawings
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs independently
- Physically capable to sit, crouch, climb ladders
- Comfortable on man lift equipment
Qualifications and Education Preferences
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred experience working within the field of retail or commercial construction Familiarity with construction, remodeling, and roll outs is a plus
