What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sailing Instructor position at Boston Sailing Center?
Company Overview
The Center is open every day, 9am until sunset, during the regular season (early May through mid October). The regular season is when we host the majority of our adult sailing courses, run one design racing series on Solings, and allow our members unrestricted access to our fleet of 73 sailboats for daysails, overnights, and extended cruises.
Summary
The Boston Sailing Center is currently seeking sailing instructors. We have instructor openings for beginner and advanced keel boat courses. ASA and USCG certifications are a plus.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sailing instruction or a strong background in dinghy or keelboat sailing is preferred.
- Be reliable, motivated, and adaptive
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach and engage with students.
- Ability to work well with diverse groups of people in an outdoor setting.
- Good sense of humor is always a plus
Enjoy a friendly atmosphere with an ability to learn new skills. Sailing lessons and boat access available are to all employees.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 40 per week
