What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wound Care Nurse position at Boston Services?
Wound care certification is a requirement. Under the direction of the DON/designee, the RN will be responsible for diagnosis and treatment of common problems related to the treatment, management and rehabilitation of patients with pressure injuries, wounds, ostomies and/or continence problems as well as patient education and education of nursing staff. The Wound care nurse will practice across the spectrum of the organization including but not limited to emergency department, clinic, inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care. Qualifications & Job Requirements (but not limited to): CA licensed RN and active CPR certification. CWCN Certified Wound Care Nurse within 2 years of hire Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Dependable, organized, reliable, with good attendance. Relates well with co-workers, staff and patients. Must be a team player to all departments, confidential of sensitive data, respectful of all other staff members, considerate of other people s time and accountable for work output. Always demonstrates a professional behavior, both when on duty and as a representative of the hospital outside of normal work hours.
