What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, UNDERGRAD ADVISING, Questrom School of Business, Undergraduate Programs position at Boston University?
- Support the delivery of student services to current Questrom School of Business undergraduate students, other BU students taking Questrom courses, prospective students, and Questrom faculty and staff.
- Perform academic advising, related administrative duties, and event coordination.
- Provide vision and strategy as the primary advisor and information source for first-year students, overseeing strategic first-year student outreach and orientation efforts, and managing the academic advising process for assigned cohort of students as they enter and continue in the Questrom School of Business.
Required Skills
B.A./B.S. required, Master's degree preferred, exceptional oral and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom environment and preference for three to five years of experience in academic advising or higher education. Some weekend and evening work will be required.
