The BU Law Communications, Marketing & Graduate Admissions Office seeks a Graduate Admissions Counselor to join a talented and collegial team. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the Graduate Admissions Counselor contributes to the successful enrollment of new students into the law schools LLM, Master's, and certificate programs through the implementation of strategic recruitment, conversion, and yield plans.

The Admissions Counselor works collaboratively with the graduate admissions staff and graduate program directors to attract and recruit prospective students; guide them through each stage of the enrollment funnel; and ensure that accurate information about the law schools graduate programs, admission qualifications for domestic and international students, and financial aid is clearly and enthusiastically communicated at each stage of the enrollment funnel. The specialist participates in, and supports the planning of, virtual and in-person recruitment and yield events and proactively seeks new opportunities to attract and recruit prospective students.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required and 3 years of experience.
  • Proven experience (preferably 2 years) in higher education admissions, recruitment, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of students and stakeholders.
  • Experience in international student recruitment preferred.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other communication tools.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
