Boston Volvo Cars is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Advisor / Parts Counter Person to join their award-winning team.

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $55,000-$80,000
Responsibilities
- Assist all customers (retail and internal) in selecting required parts
- Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials
- Manage phone calls, provide price quotes and necessary information
- Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and keep the computer system up to date
- Notify customers when ordered parts have arrived and when they will be delivered
- Responsible for payment transactions and record keeping for all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts
- Replenish assigned inventory daily and set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
- Follow up on back-ordered parts
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
- Participate in training programs to keep current on new products and product updates
- Assist in parts delivery as needed
Qualifications
- 3 year parts experience in a dealership environment
- 21 years old
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Basic catalog and phone skills
- Excellent communication skills between customers, dispatch, and employees
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves with the use of a ladder when necessary
