What are the responsibilities and job description for the Highway Project Engineering Specialist position at Boswell Engineering?
Boswell Engineering seeks a highly experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in the development of highway and bridge projects in New Jersey.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all construction projects are executed in compliance with project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections of heavy highway and/or bridge rehabilitation/replacement, paving projects, and drainage projects
- Complete daily Resident Engineer reports
- Prepare As-built drawings and assemble data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project
- Assure general compliance with NJ Turnpike Authority and NJDOT standards and specifications
- Perform a combination of both office and field duties
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, current NJ Professional Engineer License a plus
- Ten (10 ) years of experience as a Resident Engineer on bridges and highway projects
- Valid NICET Certification IV or P.E. is required
- Ability to read and understand plans/specifications and properly document collected data
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- NJ Turnpike Authority experience is preferred
