Founded by Shirley Delsman Botts, CPA, and Delia Kau, CPA, we specialize in tax planning and preparation for small businesses, self-employed individuals, estates, and trusts, primarily in industries such as construction, real estate, professional services, and manufacturing. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service with a personable approach.
Position Overview:
As a Tax Accountant, you will handle income tax preparation and planning throughout the year, ensuring accurate and timely filing of returns. This role involves managing multiple projects independently and collaboratively while meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns in compliance with current tax codes and regulations.
- Provide tax planning strategies for clients.
- Address client inquiries about bookkeeping and payroll questions (note: regular bookkeeping and payroll tax preparation are not provided).
- Track multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in tax preparation and planning for individual, business, and fiduciary returns.
- Oregon LTC or LTP license (preferred).
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with estate tax preparation and planning.
- Proficiency with Lacerte Tax Software.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Expected hours: 40 per week during tax season, flexibility outside of busy season.
- Salary: $40,000 - $45,000 per year (commensurate with experience).
