Boulder County Department of Office of Sustainability, Climate Action, and Resilience (OSCAR) is seeking to hire an OSCAR Administrative Specialist. This is an entry-level professional classification. The Administrative Specialist performs a variety of professional analysis, support and coordination duties. The primary duty of position includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
This is a full-time, benefited position that will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, remotely and at least 1 day per week in-office out of 2020 13th St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $53,988.00 – $65,874.00 Annually
Tentative Hiring Timeline:

New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month (Must not have been employed at Boulder County during the 12 months prior to re-hire date to qualify). Provide daily administrative, operational, and organizational support Data entry, management, calculations and reporting using Oracle and Excel Spreadsheets Payroll Coordinator – timekeeping using Dimensions Data Entry suppliers, purchase orders and invoices using Oracle Technology/SharePoint – create and manage content, share information, facilitate teamwork and communication IT point person Maintain information regarding processes, procedures and policies Create and maintain emergency information, charts, lists and calendar meetings and deadline dates Organize and plan team events, retreats and training Order and Inventory Equipment Assist with onboarding and offboarding Create, update and manage forms Performs related work as required May be reassigned during emergency situation

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, and at least five years of related office or administrative experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Administrative experience.
- Accounting experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) SharePoint
- Strong technical skills in utilizing data from multiple, ability to analyze data, data entry
- Timekeeping experience preferably Kronos, Dimensions
- Onboarding and Offboarding experience
- Scheduling, calendaring and assisting with events
- Order suppliers and equipment

Computer Skills – Utilizes a personal computer with word processing, spreadsheet, and related software to effectively complete a variety of administrative tasks with reasonable speed and accuracy

Time Management - Plans and organizes daily work routine. Establishes priorities for the completion of work in accordance with sound time-management methodology and estimated schedules
Judgment/Decision Making – Ability to use logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate situations and exercise good judgment to make appropriate decisions
Communication – Excellent ability to communicate, listen to and understand directions, information, and ideas presented verbally and in writing, which may include the preparation of detailed reports including numerical information and statistics. Ability to handle a variety of issues with tact and diplomacy and in a confidential manner
