Boulder County Parks and Open Space is seeking to hire a Civil Contruction Tech II. The Civil Construction Tech II is the journey level classification in the park's construction and maintenance series. The Civil Construction Technician II performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties, requiring independent judgment in the construction and maintenance of County Parks and OpenSpace infrastructure.
This is a full-time benefited position that will work 7:00am - 5:30pm Tuesday - Friday. This position will work in Longmont, CO. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $56,664.00 - $69,198.00 Annually

- Performs maintenance and construction projects on properties administered by the Parks & Open Space Department
- Plans, organizes and directs hourly and full-time employees on construction projects and maintenance.
- Estimates time, materials and equipment required to implement maintenance and improvement projects on county open space.
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation of hand tools, power tools and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains a variety of records and inventories on open space infrastructure.
- Tracks project expenditures and staff time spent on assigned projects.
- Directs the work of volunteers and youth corps on assigned projects.
- Trains employees and others in the work being accomplished.
- Performs related duties, as required.
- May be reassigned in emergency situations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions with the Buildings and Historic Preservation Department. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 2 years of combined education and experience.
