Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced brewpub environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and efficiently to our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food handling practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff. Food Runners also receive tips.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining room and patio in a timely manner.
- Assist servers with the setup and clearing of tables, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and special requests.
- Ensure that all food items are presented attractively and meet quality standards before serving.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including bussing tables and disposing of waste properly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in the kitchen or food industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of food service practices, including proper food handling techniques.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in bussing or cleaning within a restaurant is advantageous.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
