Summary :

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently recruiting for a Helpdesk Technician to join our IT team! This position will work full-time 40 hours per week Monday through Friday temporarily for 6 months. This position has the ability to work remotely.

The MyChart Helpdesk Technician will be the first point of contact to assist patients with MyChart issues such as logging in, password resets, activation codes, and assisting them with finding certain information in their portal. This person will be a member of the IT team taking on tickets, checking voicemail, emails, and assisting with other projects as needed.

Job Duties

  • Acts as first point of contact for patients via phone, email, ticket and MyChart messaging to troubleshoot login and other MyChart issues.
  • Provides excellent customer service to assist patients in accessing their MyChart accounts, updating demographics, locating information, and sending activation codes.
  • Communicates in a positive, cooperative, and thoughtful manner when providing information and services. Works to resolve conflicts directly and completely. Able to maintain energy level and keep emotional control at an even keel. Seeks assistance as needed when clarifying and resolving problems or improving workflow.
  • Utilize ticketing system to track ticket progress, communicate with staff the progress of their tickets, and resolve MyChart tickets. Escalates tickets or issues as needed and ensures ticket resolution in a timely manner.

Experience and Skills

Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with an ability to work well within ever changing priorities and situations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Suite applications. General knowledge of NextGen EHR / PM preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft business suite applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as documentation and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates initiative in establishing priorities, multi-tasking and working with little supervision.
  • Education :

  • Highschool Degree
  • Experience :

  • 1-2 years Helpdesk experience, able to work virtual and physical desktops
  • Salary Range :

  • 20.80 - $27.00 / hourly; depending on experience
