Summary:
Provide financial information and support to the BVSD schools and the school district.
Responsibilities:
- Forecasting, monitoring, and reconciling district resources related to staffing allocations and expenditures from various funding sources.
- Providing financial data, support, and analysis to district departments and senior staff. Seeking and developing efficiencies within existing processes.
- Providing detailed accounting support, budget analysis, and financial reporting for schools, departments, an oversight committee, and district leadership.
- Functioning independently and prioritizing tasks to meet goals within required deadlines.
- Coordinating on-going and special projects.
- Operating in a team environment.
- Leveraging technology and existing systems to gain operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in: Finance, Accounting or Business Management.
- Minimum of three years experience in: Finance/Accounting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English (must pass English component of interview process).
- Complete and submit BVSD online application.
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant License.
- Certified Public Finance Officer Certification.
- School Finance Officer certification.
- Governmental accounting experience.
- Advanced personal computer and software skills along with extensive knowledge in accounting, budget development, and financial analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within team structure to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and completeness of projects.
Salary Information:
Salary Range 3: $70,667 - $106,000
Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
- Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to BVSD or current BVSD employees that are new to the employee group (existing employees currently in this unit please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). BVSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process.
