Summary :
Responsible for compiling, maintaining and updating files and electronic construction documents (including AutoCAD, PDF, current and archive files) for all district facilities.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update"as-built" facility drawings for all district buildings and sites on CAD system. Conduct walkthroughs of buildings and sites to compare site conditions to current CAD drawings and document changes. Integrate floor plan and site changes into existing "as-built" drawings.
- Gather, analyze, and integrate data to support district departments graphically using CAD.
- Develop and maintain electronic filing drawing system of all converted AutoCAD drawing files to be shared with all employees. Train and assist employees in the use of electronic filing systems.
- Supply existing CAD drawings and converted CAD drawings (.pdf, dwg, jpg) of district buildings and sites to district employees, architects, engineers and outside consultants for construction and bond projects. Supply the Emergency Response Team with floor and site plans of all BVSD sites for their use.
- Create drawings requested by individual district sites (including but not limited to : fire exit drawings, misc. Safety drawings).
- Compile and maintain square footage spreadsheets for facilities inventory documentation on all district buildings (original construction and added square footages, modular classrooms, etc). Calculate square footage requests for all buildings and sites owned and / or leased by the district as needed by district employees, architects, engineers, etc. Share electronic information as requested.
- Analyze, develop, implement, and maintain data and information systems that coordinate with the Operations Division and other District departments.
- Maintain and update the BVSD technical guide for facility design and construction.
- Compile and maintain square footage spreadsheets for facilities inventory documentation on all district buildings (original construction and added square footages, modular classrooms, etc).
- Initiate the process for the Annual Capacity Report each Fall by assembling a file of school floor plans with room assignments and square footage from the previous year and distributing to school administrators for review. Once returned with updated information, this position updates room assignments and square footages on CAD floor plans and on master spreadsheet or database. Once complete for each school, the report is passed to the District's planner.
- Compile and maintain Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) inspection and management plan drawings and lead-based paint sample drawings. Maintain hazardous material storage area drawings as required by the EPA.
- Maintain an electronic file containing Geotechnical Engineering Reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
