About the Role / About You and the Role

Bouldering Project General Managers invest endless time, care and energy in their roles in our spaces. Regional Directors are responsible for supporting the performance and development of this team.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of our Operations and the nuance of balancing all of the priorities involved in creating the magic that sets Bouldering Project apart. Regional Directors support GMs in finding success in their roles and spaces, hold them accountable, identify opportunities for growth and development and create resources to ensure leaders are able to do their jobs efficiently and effectively.

The Regional Director is accountable for achieving business objectives and holding GMs accountable for reaching gym-specific performance goals.

What You’ll Do

You will support local leaders in developing and executing strategies that enhance facility operations, drive business growth, and create an exceptional member experience. By collaborating with gym management teams, you'll help set and achieve region-specific goals, ensuring each facility operates efficiently while maintaining a strong community presence. Your role will involve analyzing market trends, assessing competition, and identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand the business.

You’ll work closely with General Managers to optimize P&L performance, implement scalable operational systems, and drive revenue through community engagement, strategic programming, and retail initiatives. Coordinating with central teams, you’ll refine key business processes, ensure high standards in customer experience, and oversee labor models, budgeting, and facility maintenance. Managing new gym openings from hiring to training will also be a core responsibility.

In leading and developing GMs, you will provide mentorship through regular check-ins, site visits, and performance conversations, equipping them with the tools and resources needed for success. You will foster a people-first culture that values continuous improvement, ensuring gym teams are supported, trained, and aligned with both local and national priorities. Partnering with the Director of People and HR, you'll enhance the employee experience, oversee training initiatives, and support change management efforts. From recruiting and onboarding to coaching and development, you'll play a key role in building strong leadership across all facilities.

What You’ll Bring

You are a curious, driven, and self-motivated leader with a passion for learning and mentoring. With 5 to 10 years of management experience, you have a strong track record of leading teams, developing leaders, and managing multiple locations. You thrive in a collaborative environment, bringing excellent communication, facilitation, and training skills to the table.

Your ability to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on operational knowledge allows you to effectively manage teams of 5 to 10 direct reports while overseeing multiple projects with tight deadlines. You have strong organizational and decision-making skills, proficiency in business software and MS Office, and a mix of creative and analytical thinking. Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and drive both strategy and execution.

Salary : $115,000 - $125,000
