Boulo Solutions is partnering with a food manufacturer in Birmingham, AL looking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented Inside Sales Manager that will also lead the small Customer Service Team focusing on supporting internal and external customer engagement in three food distribution channels.
ABOUT THE JOB
The position will serve as the lead support for sales requests and needs, coordinate resources for purchase order management, and respond to requests from executives and internal departments.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for problem solving, teaching systems related skills, and communicating with internal and external customers.
You should be prepared to lead a customer support team, develop and update a suite of sales results and tracking reports, manage the flow of sample and document requests, support updates for customer portals, and oversee continuous improvement as it relates to excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential responsibilities of this job include but are not limited to the following:
• Lead Customer Sales Support personnel who are responsible for purchase order management from order receipt through completion at the customer. Provide feedback and training as needed to ensure their success.
• Develop and maintain monthly sales reports for meetings, business reviews and result tracking. Reporting will require accessing internal and external databases.
• Set up new customers with all related information in ERP systems.
• Direct customer and consumer requests to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Collaborate with cross functional members of the team to drive success for both the company and its customers.
• Backup role for order management and reception as needed.
• Complete additional requests related to supporting executives and internal customers on an ad hoc basis and as business evolves.
• Manage sample orders: create process for tracking fulfillment and receipt at customer. Communicate tracking and status to customer and sales personnel.
• Sales Department ERP subject matter expert: train new and existing sales team, answer questions, and troubleshoot when needed.
• Lead for SPS management: ensure accurate flow, troubleshoot as needed, support deduction management.
• Administrative tasks related to FedEx, DHL, and UPS shipments, pricing maintenance, and other related tasks.
• Work with internal teams to update customer portals and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
A. Experience/Education
• College degree required.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills utilizing phone, email, and instant messaging.
• Diligence and detail oriented.
• Proficient in ERP and EDI platforms.
B. Skills
• Excellent critical thinking skills to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to create and manage processes that support customer satisfaction: sample requests, documentation needs, customer complaints as some examples.
• Ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
• Excellent knowledge of ERP and EDI. Must be willing to learn and support requests related to customer portals as required.
• Ability to supervise Customer Support personnel.
