Job Summary:
The Coworking Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of Bounce’s coworking and public space, known as The Generator (including The Workshop), ensuring an exceptional member and visitor experience. This role involves managing relationships, maintaining member satisfaction and retention, fostering engagement, and driving membership sales. The Coordinator will work closely with coworking members, day pass users, and the general public to create an atmosphere of connection and creativity in the space. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for delivering on strategies and performance measures to sustain and advance the use of The Generator. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and works in tandem with the Events Coordinator and Community Administrator.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations & Member Support
• Serve as the main point of contact and master communicator for all coworking members, overseeing the daily activities of the space.
• Maintain the community vibe, ensuring orderliness and cleanliness of the coworking space.
• Conduct walkthroughs to address issues and manage the opening and closing of the space.
• Assist the Event Coordinator with event setup and teardown, including cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Community Administrator and Events Coordinator to ensure front desk coverage during business hours.
• Proactively address and plan for potential challenges that may affect the integrity of the space.
• Communicate with members via email, Slack, phone, and OfficeRnD.
Membership Sales & Onboarding
• Actively promote coworking memberships, private offices, and reserved desks to prospective members through engaging tours and direct outreach.
• Maintain updated listings of membership options on third-party sales platforms and ensure Bounce’s online presence reflects current offerings.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new members, including promotions, referral programs, and targeted campaigns.
• Provide engaging tours of The Generator, serving as an ambassador of Bounce and its programs.
• Curate and distribute new member onboarding materials, including the Welcome Packet.
• Understand and communicate Bounce’s flexible space options and programming to support member needs and entrepreneurial growth.
• Identify opportunities for space improvement, including furniture and technology updates.
• Stay informed on coworking trends and develop initiatives to enhance The Generator’s relevance, success, and value.
Community Engagement & Member Retention
• Build and nurture positive relationships with members through proactive communication and engagement.
• Develop and execute coworking community initiatives, such as events (in collaboration with the Events Coordinator), promotions, and networking opportunities.
• Conduct periodic member check-ins to understand evolving needs and identify upselling opportunities.
• Serve as the voice of coworking members, providing feedback on programming and event needs.
• Conduct move-out interviews to gather insights on member experiences.
• Create financial reports, ensure timely collection of payments, and manage all member contracts and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records and update coworking software tools (e.g., OfficeRnD) and technology platforms.
• Manage and analyze data on coworking members, day pass users, and visitors to measure the space’s effectiveness in achieving program goals.
Training & Technology Support
• Lead training protocols for coworking and workshop spaces.
• Assist members with troubleshooting and resolving technology issues in the space.
Other duties as assigned – We’re a small team, and we all pitch in!
Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in hospitality, business, sales, or equivalent experience.
• Proven customer service and/or sales expertise, with a passion for building relationships and driving revenue growth.
• Experience in coworking or community spaces is preferred.
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
• Strong collaboration, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Comfortable speaking to large groups and solving problems creatively and efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Self-starter capable of thriving in a small, dynamic team environment.
• Familiarity with startups or entrepreneurial communities and non-profit experience is a plus.
• Passionate about Bounce’s mission and values.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to spend significant time standing and walking.
• Flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend work, with adjustments to the standard workweek to accommodate events. (Suggested schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility for events.)
• Assist with venue cleanup after events and meetings, including custodial duties as needed.
• Assemble, operate, and maintain equipment such as iPads, laptops, TVs, projectors, monitors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, recorders, and event furniture.
• Lift, maneuver, and set up event materials such as stages, tables, and chairs (up to or over 50 pounds).
