Director Of Finance Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations for a mixed-use property, including a hotel and condominiums
- Manage and develop a finance team, including an assistant director, accounting manager, AP clerk, and staff accountant
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, communicating key insights to property and corporate leaders
- Collaborate with department heads to improve operational efficiency, optimize budgets, and enhance revenue
- Lead banking relationships and liaise with property owners and the corporate office on financial matters
- Implement strategic plans to drive property growth and improve financial performance
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality finance, ideally within hotels or mixed-use properties
- Strong managerial experience, with a proven track record of developing and leading teams
- Experience with Great Plains or NetSuite accounting systems
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with non-financial department leaders
- Ability to interpret financial statements and develop actionable strategies to improve efficiency and profitability
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in hospitality settings
