Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities
- Support attorneys handling complex insurance coverage litigation cases
- Prepare and organize legal documents, including labeling, assembling binders, and printing materials for trial
- Manage all aspects of trial preparation, from document production to filing C memorandums
- Track expenses, costs, and attorney fees, compiling them into required legal forms
- Handle eFiling processes and ensure timely submission of court documents
- Assist with legal research and draft memorandums as needed
- Prioritize and respond to emails and requests in a time-sensitive manner
- Work closely with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure smooth trial operations
- Adapt to urgent deadlines and shifting priorities
- 5-10 years of experience as a commercial civil litigation legal assistant/paralegal
- Trial experience is a must candidates must have managed at least two trials, handling all phases from document production to C memorandum filing
- Paralegal certification required
- Must be certified to bill hours
- Experience with multi-million dollar trials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with eFiling systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure legal environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist where needed
- Experience at a well-established law firm
- Familiarity with Coyote, Westlaw, and Epic
