Salary Range: $45 - $60 / hour DOE
Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of trust and probate litigation cases from start to finish
- Support two attorneys, ensuring case deadlines and requirements are met
- Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents
- Handle calendaring, ensuring all case deadlines and requirements are met
- Assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial binders, exhibit lists, and uploading evidence into Trial Director or similar software
- Conduct legal research and cite-checking when needed
- Draft legal documents, including discovery shells, pleadings, and motions in limine
- Coordinate depositions, mediation preparation, and pre-trial logistics
- Maintain clear communication with attorneys, clients, and support staff to keep cases progressing efficiently
- Minimum 5 years as a Litigation Paralegal, with at least 3 years in Trust & Estate Litigation
- Experience handling cases from inception to trial
- Directly supported 25 depositions and at least 3 trials, including document handling and evidence organization
- Strong knowledge of Probate Code, California Rules of Court, and Code of Civil Procedure
- Paralegal Certificate or Business and Professions Code Qualification required
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Trial Director or equivalent software
- Strong experience with MS Office and legal practice management software such as Clio, MyCase, ClickUp, or Asana
- Ability to anticipate needs and proactively manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
- Probate Administration experience is a plus
