This role is integral in providing financial analysis and decision support to senior leadership, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced, family-owned company. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions, while leading 1-2 staff accountants. Senior Accountant Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor 1-2 staff accountants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes
- Prepare, consolidate, and analyze financial statements for senior management
- Conduct monthly account reconciliations and post journal entries
- Review journal entries and intercompany transactions for proper elimination
- Develop and implement procedures and process improvements for financial operations
- Assist with year-end audits, ensuring compliance with reporting standards
- Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and reporting structures within the company ERP system
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to key stakeholders
