Founded in 2003, the firm was established with a vision of building a world class, diversified investment management platform committed to the lower middle market. Bow River has five private fund platforms: Defense Technology, Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Software Growth Equity, and a registered fund, the Bow River Capital Evergreen Fund, which provides access to private market investments to a broad set of investors.

Role Description

Bow River Capital is seeking an Operations Analyst to drive operational excellence and provide client and technical support for the Evergreen Strategy as it scales. This role will be instrumental in supporting fund operations, Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations, client onboarding, portfolio monitoring, and systems integration. The Analyst will have the opportunity to work alongside the Operations and Portfolio Management teams, Fund CFO, and third-party service providers as they coordinate fund valuation, subscription agreements, fund reporting, board reporting, and investor updates.

Core Responsibilities

·        Assist in calculating the Fund’s NAV on a weekly basis, alongside additional monthly and quarterly fund reporting.

·        Assist the operations team with the annual audit and quarterly reporting.

·        Collaborate cross-functionally with the Investment and Operations teams to manage operational and accounting workflows for fund investments.

·        Work with our fund administrator daily to smoothly onboard 150 new clients per month and support existing client relationships.

·        Assist clients with navigating our client portal, sending fund documents, and proactively addressing any non-investment related inquiries, ensuring a seamless onboarding and ongoing experience.

·        Oversee the marketing compliance approval process by acting as a liaison between our investment and compliance teams and assisting with marketing material edits

·        Assist the firm in providing data and analysis for quarterly board reporting, annual advisor contract renewal reporting, pitch books, fact cards, regulatory filings, and other relevant reports.

·        Support the onboarding and optimization of operational systems to enhance scalability.

·        Lead and support special projects to strengthen and systematize internal operations.

·        Manage and maintain internal databases to ensure accurate tracking of investment

Qualifications

▪         Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

▪         Highly motivated and hard-working individual, with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team.

▪         1-2 years of experience in fund administration, investment operations, or a related role within an accounting firm, investment fund, or administrator, with exposure to public and private equity, debt instruments, and private funds.

▪         Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and achieve results in a fast-paced team environment.

▪         Strong client service orientation, with the ability to provide exceptional investor support.

▪         Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a strong academic and extracurricular track record.

▪         Interest in leveraging technology to automate processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual errors.

▪         Experience with fund accounting systems or portfolio management software is a plus.

▪         Database management and coding experience is a plus.

▪         Financial data systems experience is a plus. (Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, etc)

Work Authorization & Employment Eligibility 

• Must be legally authorized to work within the United States 
• Successful completion of background check

Work Environment 

• This job operates in a corporate office environment
• Expectations are that this role will be primarily in the office (i.e., not remote) 
• The firm offers a work remote month (July 15 – August 15) each summer

Physical Demands 

• This position requires prolonged sitting, computer use, fine motor skills, lifting, carrying, reaching, standing, hearing, speaking, visual strain, and mobility to successfully perform the essential job functions in a demanding and dynamic environment 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

• This full-time salary (overtime exempt) position requires at least 40 hours of work per week. Business operations are Monday through Friday

Compensation

Bow River Capital offers discretionary vacation and competitive health, insurance and retirement benefits. The salary range for this role is $65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year plus an annual discretionary performance bonus. Years of experience and years in a similar role, among other factors, will be used to determine the actual salary.
