What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Development and Alumni Relations Information Services position at Bowdoin College?
The Director of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) Information Systems serves as the database administrator for the DAR Constituent Relationship Management system, the College’s software application system of record for alumni, parents, trustees, honorary degree recipients, friends of the College, and others. The Director is also responsible for leading the acquisition, implementation, configuration, administration, and integration management for the full suite of DAR function-specific application systems, data storage systems, and reporting systems that additionally support the fundraising and outreach/engagement growth strategies of the College and external constituencies requiring information from these systems. The Director manages, sets priorities, provides direction for, and partners with a team of Systems & Data Analysts who support program area initiatives and goals with data configuration, extraction, and reporting required to analyze progress and drive action. The Director is responsible for building collaborative partnerships within DAR, with IT and other key offices across the College, and with technology vendors to direct the effective strategic development of the organization’s systems and data assets.

his is an exempt position requiring time commitment necessary to satisfactorily complete job requirements. Hours are primarily Monday through Friday; 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with occasional work after 5:00 pm or weekends. Currently this is a 1.0 FTE. Minimal travel required.
