Summary
Bowes Construction, Inc is seeking a part-time / seasonal Office Administrator to work full time hours from May to August 2025 with the opportunity to work as needed during the school year. This role is ideal for a college student looking for summer work and additional opportunities to assist as needed. The Office Administrator will support organizational efficiency, customer service, and inventory control while assisting other administrative staff and managers. This position requires an energetic professional who is adaptable, well-organized, and capable of managing various tasks with minimal supervision.
We are looking for someone flexible, detail-oriented, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions
- Point person for answering phone, customer service to include customer inquiries and complaints, radio dispatch and providing general support to visitors.
- Work with the Trucking supervisor closely on work orders, what material is available to customers, and where pit loaders are located each day
- Maintaining AWS ticketing system, including but not limited to setting up customer accounts, work orders, job numbers, and billing out materials.
- Responsible for outgoing and incoming mail, sorting and getting to the appropriate recipient.
- Organizing and filing Asphalt tickets per job.
- Monitor and Maintain office supply inventory.
- Effectively communicate with project managers and assist as needed.
- Organize and schedule meetings and appointments.
- Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers and employees.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This position is moderately self-directed and requires understanding and compliance with company policies, procedures, and values. The position works in an office environment utilizing a computer and standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to interact collaboratively with the team and stakeholders, and communicate via phone, videophone, email or text messaging. The employee may be required to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
