">Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Arctic Oil Spill Handler to join our team. As an Arctic Oil Spill Handler, you will be responsible for assisting in oil spill clean-up efforts, providing general land-based oil spill response labor or equipment operations support as assigned.
">Responsibilities:
- Assist in oil spill clean-up efforts, including operating equipment such as oil skimmers, boom, front-end loaders, or other ancillary gear.
- Participate in spill response drills and exercises to maintain client spill response compliance.
- Take pictures of spills and work with project managers to determine response strategies.
- Inventory spills and provide reports to project managers.
- Follow all UIC and client safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn oil spill response tactics for the Arctic environment.
- Ability to execute instructions and remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to successfully complete a 40-hour HAZWOPER course and annual 8-hour refresher course.
- Must be able to read and write the English language.
