The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong background in dental receptionist duties. As a Treatment Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the office and providing exceptional patient care.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and welcome patients to the dental clinic in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front office area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and voicemails promptly and efficiently.
- Schedule patient appointments and confirm upcoming visits.
- Verify insurance coverage and provide detailed benefit breakdowns to patients.
- Actively fill any gaps in the hygiene and operative appointment schedule.
- Process payments, post transactions accurately to patient accounts, and discuss financial options with patients regarding treatment plans.
- Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance companies and handle billing procedures.
- Follow up on unpaid insurance claims to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist the clinical team by preparing treatment rooms if necessary to maintain schedule efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness in waiting areas and public spaces of the clinic.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role is required.
- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental office software is preferred.
- Strong background in medical administrative support, including insurance verification and billing procedures.
- Excellent phone etiquette and experience with multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions confidently, and lead when necessary.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and communication purposes.
