Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager assists in the management of commercial architectural construction projects and may lead on smaller budget projects. This includes, under close supervision and job scope analysis, design, coordinating project resources teams, monitoring budget and funding, material specification quality control, and monitoring and reporting project phase progress and completion.
Location: DFW Airport
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all the following:
Support cross-functional, multi-discipline project managers as assigned.
Lead small construction and installation small/sub-projects ensuring on-time status and delivery, within budget, and compliant with quality and customer experience.
Prepare reports on project status, time and materials, adjustments, or modifications to scope of work, updates, etc.).
Participate on vetting teams for subcontractor/vendor bids for materials, installation, fixtures, etc.
Schedule vendors.
Host and schedule meetings, record minutes, edit and review reports, distribute updates to team members/project manager, make corrections and finalize.
Conduct site walks; planning stage research to compare space to planning drawings, construction stage to ensure work is being done on-schedule, safely and in according to specifications; and final walkthrough punch list completion.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related study helpful.
1 - 3 years’ assistant project management experience in design, architecture, engineering, construction, or related industry.
