Information Technology System Engineer

Overview :

Location : 10% annually on client sites in Ventura, CA area and the remaining 90% work from home

Compensation : $130,000-$145,000

A dynamic commercial IT services unit within a larger 500-employee organization, is seeking a Dual Threat Networking and Projects Systems Engineer to join its 36-member technical team. Serving a diverse client base of over 200 organizations, this role offers a unique opportunity to blend project engineering expertise with networking systems management.

The ideal candidate will spend 90% of their time on project-focused responsibilities, including designing and deploying cutting-edge solutions, with the remaining 10% on post-project support. This role demands expertise across Microsoft, Linux, networking equipment, and cloud / hybrid technologies, combined with strong project management and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities :

• Project Leadership : Architect and deploy scalable, secure networking and systems solutions tailored to client needs.
• Networking Platform Management : Oversee all aspects of networking infrastructure, including cloud-native technologies.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Identify and resolve system and network issues, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
• Security Administration : Implement robust network security measures to protect against breaches and interruptions.
• Documentation : Develop and maintain technical procedures, user guides, and project documentation.
• Collaboration : Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and support transitions.
