General Summary of Responsibilities

Assisting Radiologic Technologists and Sonographers: Support the technical staff in performing their duties in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Reception and Administrative Duties: Coordinate appointments, schedule exams, and maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

Patient Interaction: Ensure patients are cared for with a pleasant and supportive demeanor.

Operational Tasks: Includes working with phone systems, computer systems (EMR/PACS), file management, and assisting in performance improvement projects.
Essential Job Functions

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the duration of shifts, including on-call hours.

Data Entry & Exam Handling: Manage data entry for exams and send/receive exams to/from other facilities.

Patient Support: Assist with transport, exam prep, and patient screening.

Collaboration & Communication: Work well with other healthcare personnel, physicians, and departments to provide quality patient care.

Quality & Safety: Participate in improvement projects, keep supplies stocked, and ensure a positive patient experience.

Operational & Independent Judgment: Perform a variety of tasks that may require independent thinking and organization skills.
Other Job Functions

Quality Improvement: Actively engage in projects and performance evaluation.

Teamwork & Training: Mentor students in imaging technology programs, and serve on committees as needed.

Education & Experience

Education: High school diploma required; an associate’s degree in Office Management is preferred.

Experience: Computer skills and customer service experience required; prior medical facility experience is preferred.
Certifications & Other Requirements

CPR Certification: Must be CPR certified within 3 months of employment.
